Join us for two nights and two days at the stunning location of Starbright Farm in White Hall, Maryland. This working farm is owned and operated by nationally known photographer, Helen Norman and her husband. Join Annette and Helen for two days of foraging and photography in this stellar location. They will teach you the basics of styling and photography, all while using the garden to forage. Together, you will create organically beautiful sets to photograph, talk composition, and learn post production. The workshop is for all levels, but keep in mind you should have basic knowledge of how to perate your camera and place it on a manual setting. Come along on a farm to forage photographic experience. 

The Instructors:

Join acclaimed stylist, producer, and cookbook author Annette, along with photography instructor Helen Norman. For 25 years, Helen Norman has been a gifted and prolific photographer, shooting advertising, editorial, and catalogue photography for the likes of Martha Stewart Omnimedia, Metropolitan Home, Country Home, Country Living, and Southern Living.

Friday Evening of September 23rd -  Arrivals

7:30 pm Supper at the Farm

Saturday - September 24th
8:00 am Breakfast at the Farm
8:30 am Lectures by Annette and Helen
12:00 pm Lunch break
1:00 pm Forage and Photograph, watch a live demonstration of a photo shoot
2:30 pm Try your hand at photographing a foraged still life
4:00 pm Back to the Hotel
7:00 pm On your own for supper, we have lots of great suggestions for you.

Sunday- September 25th
8:00 am Breakfast at the Farm
8:30 am Editorial assignment, photograph the story of the Starbright Farm for an Editorial Magazine
12:00 pm Lunch break
1:00pm- 3:00 pm Post production with Helen, or one on one styling with Annette. Information about post production software will be provided.
3:00 pm Snacks and good byes

Departures Sunday Night or Monday morning you decide.
