Autumn is slowly kicking in in Germany. We still enjoy warm days but the nights are getting crisp. With the foliage setting in, I am reconsidering my home styling too. I love to play with warm colors that are placed in a serene grey setting. Currently I am thinking of a balmy combination of soothing grays and warm purple colors. This made me think of one of my favorite berries that is still so present on our local markets: the blueberry. Hence, my cocktail idea was born: Let's keep a bit of the summer freshness and visually play with autumn colors with a yummy 'Blueberry Lemonade'. Here is my version of this cocktail:Blueberry Lemonade
1.35 oz vodka
1 oz lime juice
0.5 oz blueberry syrup
sparkling water to fill up
blueberry ice cubes
thyme twigShake the vodka and lime juice and pour it into a long drink glass with added blueberry ice cubes. For the blueberry ice cubes simply put a blueberry into your ice cube tray, add water and let it freeze over night. Add a bit of blueberry syrup for color and sweetness and decorate with a fresh thyme twig for an aromatic twist to the cocktail. Hello autumn! You can also find him on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest! Thanks, Igor!
