Des Moines, Iowa~ Farmers Market

This weekend we went to visit our God Children in Des Moines, Iowa. I work in Des Moines a fair amount because Meredith Publications is based there. I always love going to there, it is the way America should be, a sweet small town. The farmers market which takes up the main street in Des Moines, is full of fresh baked goods, organic veggies, cheeses and flowers, and lovely local wares. Oma Blaise Ford, (Senior Deputy Decor Editor for Better Homes and Gardens Magazine) and I purchased everything we needed to prepare a lovely dinner for friends that evening. We had a great time and even stopped briefly to see a cooking demo by Top Chef alum Richard Blais. Check out the beautiful farmers market, love Des Moines, next time the State Fair!
