Design Inspiration Friday: Props to Austin

As a prop stylist I am not quick to share my prop shopping finds (secret haunts), but anyone that's been to Austin knows that Uncommon Objects is a must see. As I prepare for my upcoming cookbook shoot I am on the hunt for great things to share with you in terms of plating food and throwing amazing parties. I was not disappointed at Uncommon Objects.
It's located on the main drag, unassuming...except for the clever window display, you would never know that there is a veritable enchanted forest of unique objects behind the door. Every corner was filled with incredible objects for the home, table or kitchen. Here's a quick peek at what I saw. Once I caught my breathe I did a lot of damage and brought home some fantastic props for my cookbook.
After shopping we were pretty hungry and decided to pick a food truck and have some dinner. We decided to try an indian crepe and some Thai food at Coat and Thai and cupcakes for dessert from Hey Cupcake! Austin rocks. Props to Austin and thanks to Steve, the owner of Uncommon Objects, so charming and helpful. Your store is the best, I'll be back soon! XO
