highlights of 2013
As the year is winding down, I've been reflecting on all of the seriously satisfying moments that came with it. This was a huge year for me and I am incredibly grateful. Here are some of my favorite career, personal and blog highlights of 2013. Happy holidays all! Enjoy all the baked goods and festive drinks. We'll make up for it in January. Also, don't miss me on The Today Show on New Year's Eve. I'll be sharing how to throw a seriously last minute New Year's party on a dime. Cheers!! xxI conquered 21 days of juicing, which I will be challenging myself to do again in 2014! I felt amazing at the end of those three weeks. Who is with me?! I love this Mango Virginrita recipe. For Your Style I'd Walk a Mile was a really engaging series that ran almost all year. I asked the same five questions to brilliant creatives and loved getting a peek into their daily lives. The fabulous Grace Bonney kicked things off.As a stylist it is a thrill to be able to share my behind the scenes (you can see more of that on instagram) as well as finished projects from magazines. You can see all of my tear sheets here. A huge highlight for me was having my work featured on the September cover of Better Homes and Gardens. A total high!Of course it wouldn't be a highlight reel without mentioning Italy. I had an incredible summer with friends and family and am already planning my next trip.Clearly one of the biggest moments of the year was launching my new website in correlation with my Picture Perfect Parties book release. You can read more of my thoughts on that here.
Picture Perfect Parties
With a new book came a book tour with a fabulous book launch party at Room & Board Atlanta. The perfect night to celebrate in such a gorgeous environment. The Room & Board team did an amazing job. I've had the pleasure of hosting several fantastic events, signings, and demos since (you can check out all upcoming events here). It has been an absolute blast meeting some of you and talking food and parties. Two of my favorite things! Here's to 2014! I cannot wait to see how it unfolds. Cheers, Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year!
