Mom 2.0 Summit Derby Party for Minted :: Style and Design

IMG_3182Friday I usually post a Style Lesson, however, today I wanted to share a party I designed with Lesley Graham for Minted for the Mom 2.0 Blogger Summit held here in our home town of Atlanta.Minted is one of my favorite paper companies so when they asked us to co-host their party, I knew that designing a signature soiree for them would be fun. It was fairly easy as far as designing goes because Minted has such a great selection of party decor. We landed on the theme then started with a custom bunting that welcomed guests to the party that read "Minted's Winners Circle"IMG_3246Minted wanted a feminine take on the Kentucky Derby since the Mom 2.0 Summit fell on the same weekend as the Derby. We decided on a mint green and pink theme... very Kentucky Preppy, with a touch of whimsy.IMG_3228IMG_3278Minted has these really cool photo backdrops that were customized with #hashtags. Perfect for those selfie and group shots.IMG_3288Of course we had to have a "Minted" Julep and the cute striped straws we all love were adorned with little customized flags that ready "Minted Julep".IMG_3236Lesley was super excited about her inspiration board, filled with personal and some really "inspirational" Minted products.IMG_3190IMG_3264IMG_3263IMG_3224I pulled some vintage horse ribbons, silver trophies and Mint Julep Silver Cups that we filled with the prettiest pink roses, berries and greens. Mint green cake plates held Minted planners, embellished with a lucky horseshoe graphic and tied with burlap ribbon for attendees to take home.IMG_3261One of my favorite touches were the gold horses that filled a couple glass jars sold on the minted site, they are so versatile. These little ponies were such a fun nod to the theme and so easy to do.We filled Minted Apothecary Jars with Green M&Ms, yummy! All in all the Mom 2.0 Summit was a big success and kicking it off with Minted made it extra special. Thanks so much to Justin for his tireless work and spray painting skills, and of course my co-hostess with the mostess, the talented and sweet Lesley Graham. What a treat to have such an amazing team! xx929064_1475910675973792_1777765704_nThanks for the opportunity Minted, Lesley and I loved making your party wishes come true. Thanks to Blue Eyed Yonder for the gorgeous seating area, cheerful and on theme.Check out Minted for special occasions and party decor needs! This post:: all opinions are my ownYou may remember the baby shower I did using their adorable bird themed decor.Photography:: Lesley Graham
