2014-11-06_06-19-30I love the combination of the tangy kumquats and the sweet sour cranberries. It’s the perfect compliment to the roast turkey. If you have never tried kumquats, this is a great way to try them.

Cranberry Sauce with KumquatsServes 8

You will need:- 8 cups of fresh cranberries- 8 kumquats, sliced and seeded * or substitute 1 chopped tangerine or Clementine- 1 cup orange juice- ½ cup sugarPreparation:In a saucepan, combine all the ingredients and cook on medium heat until cranberries pop and liquid is reduced (about 10 minutes).Set aside until ready to serve.*Note: this can be made a week in advance and stored in a lidded jar for up to one week.
