A day at the beach...

Sorry it's been awhile since my last post....but I AM ON VACATION:)!!!!!....but here's a tidbit from the Italian Riviera... for your reading pleasure.

As you know there are so many things about Italy that I love~ the people ( they talk with their hands) the food (shopping everyday at the market) , the streets, the patina + their design sense rocks... did I mention the shopping!  Truly inspiring.... but here at the beach Italian life is a bit different, why? Because this is a place filled with Italians on vacation. So the pace is slower ( really slow) and the energy is magical.

Did I mention shopping on the beach???...( the most fabulous beach cover ups + very affordable!)

...or shopping at at the open air markets ( great buys!)

My days here unlike in America, are long in the good way. I read, take a nap, and stare at the sea. Sitting on the boardwalk having an "apperitivo"( Italian happy hour), watching the passing parade of Milanese beach style is not only inspiring but educational. As a stylist it's hard to refresh ones style and look, but 2 months in Italy do the trick for me...

So a day and the beach and an evening on the Italian board walk sipping Campari can be regarded as a course in style and fashion....by God I think this could even be a write off:)

Life at the sea, is sensational and delicious, and most of all full of energy and clarity...oh and the shopping...
