It's Nicole, Annette's web-manager and friend. Since Annette is busy as an Italian bee getting The Fortress ready for the very first workshop attendees, I thought I'd check in this week with a little stateside news.I've shared a little bit about myself before, but one thing you might not know about me is that I consider myself a foodie. For one, I love to explore the restaurant scene in Atlanta, and I enjoy being pushed outside of my comfort zone. For another, I love to eat! Those things make you a foodie, right?!Lucky for me, Atlanta's food scene is booming right now. After all, we ARE the "Empire State of the South." Our chefs have really stepped up their game to prove that to critics worldwide. And now, we even have our own festival, the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival. Now in its seventh year, the annual Atlanta Food and Wine Festival features a food-packed weekend full of events, tasting tents, learning experiences, and more. This year's festivities kick-off on June 1st with several events, but I have to say that I'm most intrigued by Destination Delicious which is being touted as the ultimate southern road trip that you never have to leave the party for.Atlanta's food scene is booming right now; our chefs have really stepped up their game, and now, we have the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival. The party features chefs from across the South, and they will be preparing dishes inspired by local flavors.  The event is open to the public with tickets at just $55, sign me up!Of course, the tasting tents have my tastebuds piqued, too. The tents are designed to be all-you-can-indulge which essentially means there's no end to how much delicious food you can enjoy. The best part about the tickets for the tasting tents is that you can pick and choose which days you'd like to attend, so you can design a ticket that works best for you!If you're in the Atlanta area and are at all interested in southern cuisine, consider attending the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival! You just might see me dipping in and out of tents, too. And if you do, come say hello!xo, Nicole
