Sara's notes about the recipe
Strawberry lemonade reminds me of hot Alabama summers. For an adult version of the classic lemonade stand favorite, toss in a little Vodka and you have yourself a perfect summer cocktail. Serve on ice with fresh mint or lemon slices for an extra depth of flavor. Simple as that. More from Sara over at her beautiful blog: table9kitchen.

Following an English Literature degree from Sewanee University, 3 years in the fashion industry and a Masters in Public Administration degree Sara Williamson found herself in Greensboro with the task of teaching at-risk youth for the local non-profit HERO. Her love of food and teaching helped make an unforgettable impact on her studies (and create some really cool projects). Co-founding a small business in Pecans! Project with her at-risk youth, the students utilized a local resource in pecans (hello, they were everywhere!) to create a neat product whose proceeds generate three (3) $ 500 scholarships each year for at-risk youth. Pecans! was featured Bon AppetitCooking Light, and Southern Living just to name a few. There really is nothing cooler than something that is beautiful and altruistic, is there?

In addition to serving at-risk youth, Sara is a passionate home chef who writes and photographs for her blog, table9kitchen, where she prepares gourmet food, simply done. Thanks Sara! Keep on doing what you're doing...creating lovely things, and making the world a better place (one nut at a time).
