For Your Style I'd Walk a Mile with Emily Davis

Meet Emily Davis! Through her former roles as a textile librarian and being my assistant, Emily has built a love of beautiful objects and the images that capture them. Currently, Emily serves as the Director of Stewardship for the Savannah College of Art and Design where she happily resides in the cross section between artists and designers and those that support them. Her husband, Evan, who indulges her frequent and varied changes to their home.1.Who would you want to play you in a movie?Jemima Kirk from Girls. She’s got game.2.I wish I could...sing. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to convince my musically-inclined hubby that I can carry a tune but he isn’t convinced and neither are the howling cats next door.3.My first style memory is…combing through the back issues of my father’s Architectural Digest. Like me, he finds it difficult to part with a beautiful magazine.4.I could not live without my....if its an object...my engagement ring. It suits my style perfectly, classic with a twist. If its a person...the handsome man who gave it to me.5.I could live without...people who text in movies. I love the suspension of reality, so if you’re interrupting my alone time with Ryan Gosling, then be prepared to get my mean face.Pick a photo or décor objet, or piece of clothing that defines your style.I really believe in a sense of place or the story behind beautiful items that are in the home. That being said, I pick the gorgeous, patchwork quilt made just for me by my grandmother and her sister. The quilt is folded so that visitors can see, but I don’t let anyone sleep with it (other than me...obviously). I want to preserve it forever!
