I've been digging through the styling archives these past few weeks and stumbled upon this November issue of
Better Homes and Gardens. This was a house I styled where interior designer,
Libby Patrick, transformed her husband Carl's bachelor pad into a "lake inspired" retreat. It took ten years, but they created their dream home. It's always so inspiring to step into someone's fantasy home that they've made a reality. I like to play off of the homeowner's own jolts of color - I took the orange from the stools in the kitchen and paired them with a large bowl of bright citrus. The house had the best light and it was very airy so I stuck to simple flowers and not too much fuss.
