Tear Sheets: Better Homes and Gardens August 2012

I styled this gorgeous garden retreat for the August issue of Better Homes and Gardens. It's always so fun to see the final shots. This scene looks cool and breezy, doesn't it? This shoot was actually on an extremely hot and humid day where the mosquitos were out in full force! The mustard, mint, and navy color combo keep things light and airy, while the full-force pattern mixing keeps your eye moving. I also love the earthiness of the terracotta pots that made their way both in and out of the retreat. It's pretty serene. Wouldn't this be the perfect spot for those lazy end of summer afternoons? Give me a cold iced tea (or cocktail!) and a stack of magazines and I'd be a happy girl.
